“Confirmation: The Clarence Thomas Hearings”
In 1991, the FBI investigated allegations that Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas sexually harassed Professor Anita Hill. Following the investigation, Professor Hill testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee and detailed Thomas' harassment. Thomas testified in his own defense and the Senate confirmed Thomas to a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court.
Today, we are witness to another Supreme Court confirmation plagued with allegations sexual misconduct. What has changed in 27 years? Some of the same men still serve on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Come watch the movie about Thomas' confirmation hearings and the treatment of Professor Hill while supporting Sara's run for the PA State House, 151st Legislative District.
Snacks and drinks will be served.
